Can't wait to hit the open road with the TV and FW with no time constraints. One thing I'm really looking forward to is not having to deal with the traffic at the end of a holiday weekend. I can just stay in camp and watch everyone else pack up and jam the roads.
We have some long trips planned in 2014. First will be Death Valley and then up the west coast. Then, we're going to Yellowstone, across to Niagra Falls. From there, across to Maine, down to Florida and then back to Arizona.
In 2015, the DW and I are planning on spending the summer terrorizing fish in Alaska.

I have 400 calendar days left before retirement. My plans are similar to yours with just a couple of exceptions: starting - ending location (San Diego), and a meander up to Prince Edward Island after Maine.
Sheesh, I'm as excited for you as I am for my own retirement!
