Well you certainly have gotten the full range of WILD &*()X GUESSES so far.
kwlincoln and Brisk IMO gave you some very bad advice based on not considering the potential tongue wt approaching or even exceeding your receiver's weight rating w/o WDH. Myredracer gave much better advice and addressed the potential TW issue along with actually having some hands on experience with a TV and TT in the general ball park as yours.
Likewise IMO jmtandem went way overboard on the ultra high end WDH/sway systems for such a light and small TT as yours.
My take is you need to determine your actual TW along with what your actual receiver is rated at in both the weight carrying and weight distributing mode along wth getting your TT actually weighed so we know that number along with the TT GVWR and AWR along with what sized and load range tires are on your TT. With those numbers we can start to make some SWAGs vs. the WAGs you are now getting.
While that 12mi distance to your current CG might let you get away w/o doing things right, folks get comfortable and forget that what they are doing now become downright dangerous when they make that sudden 500mi trip and forget what they skimped on initially. Thus I'm sort of in the camp that a TV/TT combo should be set up properly w/o regards to how far or often one might tow unless it's a one time to like a seasonal/permanent site.
