First Timer Generator Question?

I will be using two Honda 2k generators on my Fiver for the first time in a few weeks. I purchased the parallel kit and am set to go...as far as I know.

So my question is....do I need to keep both of them running if not using my AC? Sounds like it may be cooling off so I may not need both of them running? Do you guys just run one 2K for general use? I wil be running a fantastic fan...several TV's...a Direct TV Receiver..Coffee Pot...Microwave (possibly)...I installed LED lights throughout...

Being new to generator use any helpful hints and tips appreciated! Thanks!

    You may turn one off for low power usage (or just use one alone-they don't have to be linked together), but what I just quoted, that will likely require two. Yes, those items WILL run with one, but it'll be working hard and be pretty loud.

    Old timers usually recommend batteries and inverter for TV watching. Nothing like camping next to someone running a generator to watch TV.

    You can run one or the other if you don't need the wattage for the A/C. It is wise to alternate which one you run to balance the generator hours on each, and also a good idea to install a generator hour meter.

    You can run one or two but ditto 2oldman regarding running a microwave and coffee maker at the same time on one. Together those appliances probably draw 3000 watts or more.

    Thanks guys! This will be in a tailgating situation so noise isn't quite as much an issue. I will be in an RV Lot with everyone running gennies...no electricity.

    Echoing others. Microwave will make one roar more than coffee pot. But you'll notice a lot of revving with just the coffee pot. Both running on Eco they won't bat an eye.

    I use mine just mostly at NASCAR stuff and typically just use one minus a couple hot weekends in the past....use less fuel that way of course.

    I chose a large hybrid inverter with a medium size battery bank. That takes care of surge demands from the air conditioner. A nice bonus is I can run the RV as though it were on 30 amp shore power from a 15 amp circuit.

    Also, make sure your fridge is switched to "gas" and not "auto" as this mode will draw less power. As noted above, if you plan to use the microwave, you might have to fire up both Hondas but test it out and see.
