As was stated earlier, anyone familiar with this hitch, knows the jaws cannot open, when closed and pinned. The hitch head/jaws would have to be destroyed in order for pin to come out when closed/locked.
Just a good look, seeing the jaws wrapped around the pin properly, and the handle in the closed position, handle pinned, you are hitched.
