My opinion a hitch fail is everyone's concern...are we sitting on a time bomb if it's a mechanical issue? If you owned one of these hitches wouldn't you want answers? We all deserve to have a chance to understand and avoid the fail...when a plane crashes and a mechanical issue caused it or even operator error.. things change in the name of everyone's safety. Maybe the locking mechanism could be changed so that if the safety pin was forgotten or removed it would still stay shut, built in redundancy. Maybe an audible warning like a seatbelt chimes when it's not latched properly...It's still speculation but it does bring up a safety concern that we should take a closer look at how this hitch latches and what keeps it latched. I'm sitting on the fence for now. But I'm already working on ideas to keep this from happening to me.
