About four times a year to lubricate as it's fairly light weight compared to the B&W and easy to maintain. I used mine for 18 years from one truck to the next.

Negative. Never had the desire. Reese has served me very well for many years. Can you even turn over a B&W without a winch?
Yes I can turn over the coupler. At 75# I have no issue with that.
So with no experience with the B&W you made a comment that it looked like a "failure waiting to happen". I guess you can have your opinion but the millions of towing miles associated with the B&W Companion system does not back up your assessment.
