Does not seem like a possibility RIGHT? ....only if the weld on the top of the cam and wedge failed (not) or somebody pulled out or left out the pin (most likely) but....well to me this statement from the op is far fetched. However, there is always a little room for improvement and either way, I believe the B&W should have a latch of some kind. It is well made with good intentions...a lot of things are but safety is the most important thing. I know it is hard to believe a hitch can come undone and like most of us we all get how important it is to check everything...but it is that one time, for whatever reason, you know what I mean? Now I have had mine for 6 months and towed with it 3000 miles and hitched it many times already... Now I see a weak link and I want to fix it...I can't even trust myself but that's what seat belts and air bags are for...safety. Its there when you need it but you need to put it on for it to work...
I will give you all one good example of an industry that really cares about safety and their drivers and that is is racing....do they get killed?.. yes but are they safer than ever?...YES!. Why? Because wrecks happen it is part of the sport but we learn how to be safer from the accidents. Right?
