Thinking about a fifth wheel.Need pro's & con's between towing a fifth wheel and a TT.Have a 2013 Chevy 2500HD 6.0 gas.

Fact is. With today's hitches. TT tow as well as a 5er. So that's a wash. But there are other things to consider. Like a 5er with the same overall length will have more room, But you do lose your truck bed. A 5er does have lots more storage in it, or under it. A TT is flat, So there are no stairs inside, and less stairs to get it as well.
A 5er will usually cost more, and weigh more. It really just comes down to what you want. It's all about personal choice
Are you going from personal experience stating a TT and 5er tow the same?
I would completely disagree. I have towed several of each, there is no comparison.
I have towed with both many times and can verify what he posted. The TT with the Hensley hitch tows every bit as well as a 5th wheel does. You must have never towed a travel trailer with a pivot point projection hitch. If you have, you would not make that statement.

We personally towed a TT with a Hensley Arrow and now a Fifth Wheel with a Hensley BD3 TrailerSaver - we haven't noticed any difference.

Snip... The worst day towing a 5th is still better than the best day towing a TT.:)
I just couldn't let this one go.:B
Not true if you have the right hitch!

As noted above, there are pros and cons with both. With a properly set up TT you should not have any sway, so that's not a deal breaker either way. The 5ers have a few advantages including the bigger storage bays. They tow nice due to the wheels being set further back.
The "con" is that you generally need a bigger truck due to the much greater pin weight, and 5ers generally cost more. TTs are kind of more "bang for the buck" IMO, but I'd love to have a big 5er with a big 1 ton truck. Not in this year's budget though.

Tow a 30 foot TT and have no sway. Use a Dually for tow.
