It's kind of hard to give good recommendations without knowing what you're looking for in the vehicle besides the ability to flat tow.
That said, I'm really happy with my "normal" car, a 2012 Honda Fit. It's not bad driving, particularly as small econoboxes go, and the interior space utilization and adaptability are amazing. The 2013 and earlier Fits are flat towable with either the manual or automatic transmissions. (The newest Fits can only be flat towed if they have a manual transmission; the CVT is not flat towable.)
