Sorry to bother you guys out there but need some help on selecting a tow vehicle. I tow a 2007 Saturn that tows great, but thinking of a change. I know that some magazine gives a list of the ones that can be flat towed, but cannot locate it, For starters, how about HHR Chevy?Thanks in avance for your replies.

Motorhome Magazine lists what vehicles can be towed and how they can be towed once a year. You might find it on their website. I know Jeep, some Subarus, and a lot of Chevy's can be towed 4-down but I don't know on the HHR.

It's Motorhome magazines dinghy guide. Google it and you will find what you are looking for.

We tow our HHR. Excellent toad. You'll have to find a used one because they don't make them anymore.

You may have to be a subscriber to Motor Home Mag or the FMCA mag to see the towing guides.REMCO offers a good alternative to find what can be towed.I could look up a specific vehicle for you in the FMCA towing guides.

This should be in the "Dinghy Towing" forum.Our friends tow an HHR and love it. We tow a Suzuki Grand Vitara and love it. Honda CRVs are a very popular tow car, as are certain Jeeps.

If you only need a 2-seater with plenty of storage, look at smart cars. Curb weight of 1,800 lbs (US) and is very easy to tow.

Yes, I love my '87 Subaru Brat. Tows great and fits my coach.

Many of the jeep platforms can be towed 4 down. Our 2012 Jeep Liberty all you have to do is push the trans disconnect button and put into park ( for the most part) then your ready to go. No fuses to pull or anything else.

I concur on the Subaru-our Outback towed so easily but did have to be a manual. If that's not an issue, you also get a car that's phenomenal in the snow, handles very well, and has huge utility.

I have towed a Subaru for years. Only the manual shift Subarus can be towed 4 wheels down. There are no speed or mileage restrictions and no fuses have to be pulled. They cannot be towed on a dolly.
