Doing internet browsing of used RV's of all types, I am amazed how few sellers post a floor plan of their rig. If looking at any type of real estate - house, apartment, condo, etc, it is the first thing to appear. Now, assuming the seller has the complete model (is it a 32B or 32G?) I can usually find the floor plan online. Buy why the reluctance? Sure, they have to find a link or scan and then add to the listing. If you want to sell something, make it accomodating for the buyer. Dealers are better than private parties but still very few do. They often have tremendous well written ads with many, many photos(I've seen up to 200). But without a floor plan, it is often hard to see the forest for the trees. Your thoughts?

I agree with you,it is strange, if I would like to sell mine I would make it "easy" for the buyer.Go to the manufacturer website , pick up the floor-plan you like and then look for the same model on the dealer's website.

Manufacturers have floorplans. Individual sellers do not have the skiils nor tools to provide them. One consignment dealer I know of, PPL of Houston, has a tool to generate a generic, but useful, floorplan.If you are shopping private sellers, you are expecting too much. Some sales tools are beyond the reach or skills of individuals.I can usually deduce a floorplan from a decent set of interior photos, but many sellers do not provide even that much. If the seller can't provide the information you need, whether manufacturer's model number (you have to do the homework from there), floorplan schematic, or photos, justpass. There will be other sellers with better sales skills.

Though it sounds like it disturbs you not to see one, as a recent buyer of our first MH, I spent HOURS on RvTrader.com and can tell you that a floorplan was of no use to me at all, so when it comes time to sell I wouldn't even bother putting ours up, myself.I got everything I needed from the photos. What turned ME off when I was there was either not enough decent photos, or some seriously missing details. (Yes, I can see there's a corner bed, but WHAT SIZE IS IT??) Sometimes the most basic details are missing. :)

I notice that when I try to look up a unit somebody wants comment on. very few have a floor plan and even fewer describe the type of roof, etc. almost like they are ashamed of it.bumpy

You are damned if you do, damned if you don't. Put in lots of specs & details & people don't have the attention span to read. Put in the bare minimums & they complain that there is not enough information. What do you do?

Me, I want it all. Right down to tank capacity.

When we sold our last 5er we included a floor plan, it was an 86 King of the Road! I was lucky enough that the Previous owner had the sales brochure. a couple of quick pictures , that said a couple of pictures for each end should do for most units.

I look at photos of the interior - floorplans don't mean a thing to me. I want to see what the interior looks like. Owners could have changed things from the "original" layout so what is it like now.

Same here as above, when bought my tt I saved several copies of the sales booklet. I was able to use photos, floor plans along with current photo's in my ad's. My trailer sold quickly.

Floor plans are great! Condition is 2nd to the floorplan.
