Go here . Click on Hermine & dig around. All the info is there including what is most important, the windfield information tell you how far hurricane force, storm force, depression force winds extend from center in all quadrants.
This is stuff the media seldom says anything about. Much better to scare the hell out of you into thinking the thing is going to roll right over you.
A cat 1!!!! PUH. We had a slow moving cat 3-4 roll over us in 2003. 24 hours of hurricane force wind. No electricity for 6 weeks. Now THAT was a hurricane.
