Florida. The Sunshine State?

Unless you consider rain as liquid sunshine! Lately it's been dreary with periods of rain. If not raining, many days have lots of clouds. I think the designation "sunshine state" should go to Arizona. That's where I usually spend my winters (Yuma). Starting next season I plan to do just that! No more FL for me. :C

OK, to be honest FL isn't all that bad. :)
  • Need the rain for the lakes, rivers, ponds etc. I've enjoyed the rainy days sitting back and watching the college bowl games, and not feeling bad for doing it....lol. .....and I can do it all while wearing my shorts and t-shirts.
  • I'm not really complaining. Just an observation. When I'm in Yuma the long range weather forecast often shows zero percent chance of rain for as far as you can look ahead. I do like the lower humidity, too. Anyhow, I make do in whatever place I find myself. I'm just a southwestern kind of guy, I guess....
  • Even if it's a rainy day, you see the sunshine for at least a little while, at least in South Florida. No weeks of grey like up north.
Tried both, I'll never go back for more than a quick visit.
  • Enjoy your trip! For us that live here full time, we really look forward to these dank, dark days. It's a nice change.
