I guess you and I have a different opinion of what constitutes a "Ma and Pa" gas station. Shell, BP, Exxon/Mobil etc. are generally all located pretty close to your beloved truck stops and again, generally have very good access and egress and sell diesel for 25-50 cents below the place you stop at.
As to being blocked in, both times I fueled up at Flying J's in the "big boy" lanes, I was blocked in for 20 minutes waiting for the truck ahead of me to get outta of the way so I could leave the parking lot after fueling up.
But I'm sure the truck stops very much appreciate you paying a steep premium for the same fuel.
