I didn't read this whole thread. But, the idea of different vehicles sharing the road and some of them are "restricted" to different speeds is a stupid one. This is part of the mess we had in the late 80's with that stupid 55 mph limit. I will not be going to CA and become part of that mess.
Some states have a speed limit that says as long as you are going a safe speed for conditions then you are fine. (Under the maximum limit of course). Those states have their **** together.
In MN we have the same speed limit for every vehicle. Ever since the stupid 55 mph thing was canceled the state has been doing a good job of deciding which roads can handle different speeds. We are doing just fine here. No problems with people wondering how fast they should go.
