State engineers have determined the speed that they believe is safe. The 55mph nationwide limit was a joke. Nv made it so a ticket was for wasting resources and didnt go on your record for speeding. Most of Nv is 75 on interstate and 70 on state hwy. i travel the state alot and there is no mayhem out there.
