I finally tackled the problem of my front cap, which is the entire front of my camper being loose and requiring me to re-seal after each camping trip.
I pulled the side trim strips and found that it had no screws holding the cap to the aluminum frame.
I added 25 sheet metal screws on each side and used Lexel roof sealer, which is also a glue, between the plastic cap and the frame. I really don't think I even needed the screws after the Lexel dried, but I always over do things. I also used the Lexel to completely seal the sides and the bottom on each side so no water can get to any part of the metal frame.
Anyway, after 5 camping trips it is perfect, no movement at all. I am sure this is something anyone can do to save $700, which was the estimated cost to have it done.
