Remember the blizzard of '78 quite well. Lived on the far east side of Indianapolis. Had two very large dogs and almost no dog food left, plus just half a roll of TP. The day after the blizzard we walked a total of ten blocks round trip to a grocery to get both. The walk back was hard. Everyone else was trying to buy bread and milk, but we were fine there. As a result of that, I always have a large stash of both dog food and TP.
Had planned to leave home in Brown County, IN right after Christmas, but got snowed in and didn't get the motorhome down our hill until the 13th of this month. Spent a while in Ocala and was very, very cold. Moved on down here to Ft. Myers where we have friends and though its been a little chilly at night, the days are great. My sister in Noblesville, IN emailed me and said, "Don't come back home! Save yourselves and stay where you are!!!" I'm taking her advice.
