The better quality B&D tools have the word "Professional" in the name. Or you can buy Dewalt which are professional grade tools which are also owned by B&D.

I like to think of the job I may have to do. Fix a leak, replace a hose or belt, repair an electrical problem, etc. With tools for these jobs on hand I find I'm mostly able to do address any need that arises.

I only have a screwdriver with flat and phillips, adjustable wrenches of varying sizes and only sockets for the lug nuts, anode and the spare tire carrier and a breaker bar. I don't carry any more sockets than I need for the trailer.

Plumbers tape, electrical tape and duct tape.

You will quickly find out that all you really need is......

Box of square head screws AND the screwdriver to put them in and out.

Because that is what your RV is put together with! :B


Seriously though I brought 2 of my construction screw guns with and 4 years and counting I have not used them.

My Mobile RV guy had a hand held powered screw driver that "fit in the palm of his hand" that he was using on everything on my MH one day.

I asked him about it. He said all the battery operated screwdrivers where a joke until he found this one. Said it lets him get into all the tight spaces that all RV's seem to have, where a screw gun won't fit.

I use THIS tool just about every day on the road! Small but VERY powerful and charge lasts a long time. Find it at Kmart & Sears. They also sell a nice kit of bits to go along with it.......including that square one for those pesky square RV screws! :B

Quality cordless drill, a good assortment of wrenches, pliers and screw drivers including so e torx drivers for those darn square head screws than manufacturers use. And don't forget a good hydraulic jack, correct socket and a torque wrench to torque the wheel studs.

I would recommend link #3 if the recipient has absolutely nothing. We gave a gift similar to that one for our daughter when she went off to college.

I didn't see any sockets in the Stanley set.
Take a look at Camping World's `Professional Tool Kit' item 61347, for $84. That and an 18V cordless drill and a set of bits should cover `almost' any common situation.

I prefer a corded drill. used to carry a cordless drill and sure as heck whenever I needed it the battery was dead. beyond that what you've listed is good.
