Wilber, it's not that I don't appreciate your contribution -- I do -- it looks like a very handy solution -- I just don't get why so many people just plain didn't pay attention to what I wrote and think I want to add an extension/piece of pipe to a torque wrench.

To me, "breaker bars" are for breaking things loose. Torque wrenches are for tightening things. The link I provided shows how you can use your torque wrench. Or as others have said, you can find a way to hang 150 lbs from the end of your 24" bar.

If your bar is strong enough, you could add a pipe extension and apply 100 lbs at 3ft or 75 lbs at 4ft etc. Of course it depends on how much room you have and what means you have to measure the force.
