We have kids and jobs and have not experienced any backlash. Our friends support our camping and are happy for us. We camp as much as we can. We seldom travel anywhere without camper. We do beaches,mountains,private parks,resorts, state & COE parks and occasionally boondock. We use the RV as a hotel we the need arises.
Our friends and family understand we like to camp and camping is an important priority for us. They have learned to give us lots of advanced warning if they really want/need us to attend an event,otherwise we will not be there because we are camping.
I have never felt/recieved any ill will due to are desire to camp.
