I agree! Since we didn't really start camping until the kids were out of the house, we didn't do the "must sees". But now we're finding that our kids and grandkids simply love camping and family time in the outdoors, so we try to do at least one big family campout each year. We tend to go to State Parks, which are bigger and offer more outdoor freedom; plus they have educational programs, too.
Most of my grandkids are pre-teens; I think they would rather chase minnows in a creek, than stand at the edge of the Grand Canyon?
