I've thought about this as well. Who wouldn't like to cruise? Plus we haven't been on a cruise in 17 years and the kids have never been on one.
We just need more time off so we don't have to bump an RV trip.
Well, Now that I know you are a nurse (and all that entails). I am not going to drop the suggestion that you also plan weekend trips to places in easy striking range, but I will warn you about Yellowstone. We are near DTW and for us Yellowstone was a 1600+ mile excursion and we don't need or want campgrounds while in route. Now we get down to how comfortable traveling is for you in your rig. That is most of 4 8-hour days to Fishing Bridge. That is a hard pull. I don't have a good answer, and never have.
Our "kids" now have kids, but I would like to help as much as I can. If you send me a private message and good time/date to call (I do know about nurse life schedules.) I will and I will fire up my planning systems and we can run over some possibilities. We are "Old Retired" soft schedule people, but I remember this time very well. It would be my pleasure to try to make this work for you and the family. The will be gone way too soon.
