For those who like photos of old RV's

My parents owned this RV 20 years ago. It was 20 years old when they bought it. I started RV'ing by borrowing this one for trips. My kids and I have a lot of good memories of it. With 5 kids, it wouldn't sleep all of us, so we carried a tent. DW and the 4 girls slept in the RV, I slept in the tent with my son.

It caught fire once, but I put it out with a fire extinguisher and repaired the damage. (Split copper propane line to the water heater.) It just died on the interstate once. (I forget which electrical part on the engine failed.) The air conditioner would freeze up regularly, but it was FUN!

ON EDIT:

Dad died 4 years ago, and Mother died 6 months ago. I have been going through all of their papers. Dad was an inveterate record keeper. I found his records on this RV.

It was a 1977 Concord, made by Champion, on a Chevy chassis with a 354 cubic inch engine. He bought it on July 11, 1990 at the age of 69. It had 31,124 miles on the odometer, and 58 hours on the generator (which still worked).

They drove it all over the United States, and let me borrow it whenever it was at home. It almost never sat still.

He sold it in July 1997. At that time it had 54,438 miles on the odometer and 636 hours on the generator.
