You could pay double that for a room and by 2 am be wondering if you should move out to the hammock at the beach because it has less sag than the mattress. - Browse the forums at fortfiends.net. Lots of experience there, and if you have specific questions you'll get good answers.
- bdhounExplorerawesome, we went at cheap season. No wait for rides at the attractions either.
- AcampingwewillgExplorer IIFor those distractors, there's nothing like staying at the Fort! It's expensive, no doubt, but there are advantages to staying there. We love it but like to couple it with staying at the local Thousand Trails Park in Orlando(than the cost doesn't seem as bad)....:-)
As far as suggestions....make time to actually enjoy all that the campground itself has to offer, the pools, the Lodge'es the Hoop-de-doo show...heck, just walking about the area is Fun. Have a Great time!!! - JimExplorerThere are some RV parks in Apopka and if you have toad, you drive to Disney (I assume that's your ultimate destination) early in the morning and spend all day there. Rest an hour near the gate before you leave and drive back to your RV. Save enough to spend more time at Disney. It's only a 24 mile drive one way.
That's my opinion. I wouldn't pay $160+ for a space near Disney World I was only going to be in for sleeping for the most part.
