We stayed in Fort Wilderness years ago when my kids were small. It was the nicest campground we've been to. It isn't wilderness camping (which we enjoy), but it is part of the "Disney experience" and the staff treats you like kings and queens.
I've been to Disney many times since as the kids grew up. We've stayed both in the park and outside the park. There's nothing like the convenience of staying in the park if Disney is your destination.
Yeah, bring lots of money, but you get what you pay for.
