The first year we snowbirded, we used the free post office mail forwarding. Unfortunately, it does not forward everything. Magazines only got forwarded for 2 months, and letters with " do not forward" ( or words to that effect), do not get foewarded. We missed some medical letters. That time of year, we get medical insurance signup letters, and tax documents, so things did not go well.
The next year, we used the post office premium forwarding service. We still use it. They forward everything. But, as stated, it is pricey. We have it forwarded to a p.o. box , but we could also have it forwarded to the campground we stay at.
Our local post offices boxes all our mail, and ships it on Wednesday, we get it on Friday.
Christmas time, it might be delayed a few days, that is the usps hectic time.
We stay in one place, so this works for us.
