We have used the USPS temporary change of address for when we go south. Since we stay in one place, it kind of works. As some others have noted, if you get mail that says do not forward you will not get it. That can be a real problem for medical info and bills. The other problem is that this does not include any non first class mail. It wasn't a problem before, the post master just put all the non first class mail in a box and we picked it up when we got home. It was mostly bulk mail but does include magazines that we do want to keep. But the USPS now has a policy that they can hold mail no longer than 30 days. So they won't forward it and they can't hold it for the five months we are gone. We are looking at alternatives but so far haven't come up with an answer. We are checking mailing services. The prices for that service vary greatly so not sure what we will do.
