When draining water heater white chunks came out and anode rod eaten away in places.new 2014 hideout 2 months old camped twice 6 days total.I am thinking I should request that water heater be relaced ...

Nothing you posted is the least bit out of the ordinary. Replace the anode when it's about half way through the rod.
