Four Way Elec. Connector coming unloose

This is our fifth MH and first time four way connector will not stay plugged in at MH. Hard to attach and after a few miles comes loose. Connecting cable getting worn. Anything else I need to check. Could the connection on coach( 2014 Allegro Open Road) be defective? Could the cable be too short? Anybody else had this problem?
  • If it's a flat-four connector then I recommend installing a set of these (and matching cable) at the MH and at the toad. The cover plate is notched and the cable is keyed to that notch so that the cable can't pull out (unless the spring fails):

    Have not had that problem.

However, as a precaution, I always use the plastic ties on the connection to the MH. I was not comfortable with the tension on the electrical cord, and using the ties gives me peace of mind.

The connection on the toad provides a good secure connection, and I do not use plastic ties on the Toad. 8 years on 4 different vehicles without any problems.
