Frederick Maryland.

Every Spring and fall we go to Maryland to see DD. We normally don't get there in the fall till November and in the Spring around mid April. We have yet to find a good camp ground near DD. Jellystone is nuts and pricey and others are just plain expensive and in remote places. Our TT is 40' so we need good access and lends itself to issues also. Most CGs are closed when we need them so we haven't found a good one yet.

Any one knowing of something desent let me know
TIA

  • I've camped at Ramblin' Pines in Woodstock, MD - it's not far from Frederick and right off of I-70. A little expensive, but not terrible for the area. Funky water hookups. And I believe they're open all year.
  • Little Bennett Campground is in Germantown, MD, about 20 minutes south of Frederick. Its a couple minutes off of 270. In November it is only open on the weekends (not sure if that helps) but it is open full time by April. We've stayed there before, its a beautiful wooded park.

They have tent sites, 30amp and 50 amp sites. Not sure what the max length trailer is though.
  • No help on CG's but please make sure you go to MAYS restaurant for me.
  • I assume that DD means darling daughter. I can think of 5 campgrounds in that area besides Jellystone:
