This is one of the neatest parks in the state! Lots to do and see in the park - miles of hike/bike trails - all easy, lots of wildlife from alligators to birds to deer and more, nice campgrounds, and even a first class observatory right in the park. Easy drive to Houston and Galveston. Shopping and other facilities nearby. Haven't hosted there, but it's near home base and we visit often because it's such a nice park.
