Free E Books

Lots of people probably know about this, but I just found out! Amazon has free E-Books. Lots of them. You don't need a Kindle, just need the free Kindle App. Just type in, 'Free Kindle Books' in the search bar on the Amazon website.

  • Lizzie, move to/underline the book you want to remove (in Kindle index), click the left side if the control and follow instructions
  • Lizzie,

Log in to your Amazon account. Under "your account," pick "Manage your Kindle." Each title has an "actions" button on the right side of the screen and one of the actions is to delete the item from your library. This works whether it is a Kindle book that you own or a book you borrowed from the library.
  • Can I hijack the topic? I can't figure out how to delete the books that I have read (and will never read again) from my Kindle. I tried to do it on my Amazon account, but they still appear on my Kindle screen. lizzie
  • All kinds of classics are free like Treasure Island, everything Jane Austen wrote, etc.

Here's another question- I have a little tablet with 8GB memory. Do these free books go into your storage or the cloud?

When I download from Kindle, I can specify if the dl goes to the cloud or to one of my devices. Your option.
  • Several publishers have free books as well, these include Baen, which come with NO DRM, that means they are not copy protected.

Also there are places like Project Gutenburg that has books who's copy-right has expired that you can get for free, with no DRM.

  • Barns and Noble does as well. I have both the Kindle and Nook apps on IPhone.
