I've been using FTA at home for a couple of years now, and really enjoy it. There's no network programming, but I like the selection of PBS feeds, Retro TV, numerous news channels, and Create, among others.
I use an Openbox S10 FTA receiver and a 33" Ku band dish with a motor drive. I see no reason this setup can't be used on a RV, as long as you are able to reposition the dish each time you move.
The cost of getting into FTA is really quite reasonable, and despite what some folks say, FTA is completely legal.
