If you want true FTA just get a box like a Viewsat or Coolsat from Fleabay or Craiglist for almost $0. That Jynx box is made specifically to steal Dish and BEV. I would not touch one of them with a 10' pole if you are honestly trying to only get real FTA programming. If the dealer of those gets busted your name is on the list.
All that said, true FTA is more about tinkering and killing time trying to find what is on. Like the old wild feed days except much less rewarding. :) There are lots of channels but little worth watching. The dish setup is also more like setting up your C band rather than the ease of setting up DirecTv or Dish.
If it were me, I would get rid of cable at home and get Dish or DirecTv and then just take a receiver out of the house when you go camping.
