The weight could have an affect on tank supports if mfg. was a cheapskate and didn't install tank adequately. BUT that should not be the case.
I agree. I read a lot about not traveling with full tanks, filling up in campgrounds for free, etc. It always sounds to me like folks are just trying to justify their being cheap.
Just fill your tank and enjoy.
