I am wanting advice for a fresh ware hose that is easy to coil up to store. The one I have now I just bought at Wally Mart and not only is it impossible to coil up neatly, the water coming out has a bad odor and of course taste bad. Yes, it is for potable water. I have also tried a white hose (for potable water) similar to the green Pocket Hose that has been out for a couple years and not to be used for potable water. Although it was easy to store, the water taste bad. Any ideas out there?

Maybe the water tank or source is the taste problem and not the hose. I use a regular white potable water hose. Coils up easily into a 18in or so set of loops. Been using the same hose for 6-7 years. Mostly only need the 25ft piece but have a 50ft piece if I need it.

We use the white Camco/Camping World whatever RV hose..But we have 2 of them. The regular 50 footer which we hardly ever use. You know, the one that is hard to drain and hard to coil.We also have a 10 footer which is long enough for 90% of our hook up needs... much easier to handle..I just don't need 40 feet of extra hose tangled up and laying on the ground between the spigot and our trailer.

I, also, would question whether the hose is causing the water taste. At least after it has been used a few hours. In my experience, bad tasting water is bad tasting straight from the spigot.

Have you tried putting an inline filter in? We have been parked at the same place for several months and I have 50ft Camco white hose from CW. Have never had problems with the taste or smell of the water.

I have a couple of these.

Found mine at a local Ace Hardware. I've also seen them at Walmart and some RV dealers.

I like the Handy-Hose also. But I don't think it is a good hose to leave sitting out hooked up.

While not cheap, these are absolutely the best hoses available and definitely worth the money - oh so easy to coil!

I carry one 10' white hose that I don't recall where I bought, and two 25' white hoses, one Camco from Walmart, and the other an unknown brand from Big Lots. None of them add any taste to the water, and all are fairly easy to coil and connect the ends together for storage without kinking. I've rarely needed all three, but it has happened. As said, the 10' is enough a lot of the time. All three were sanitized with a bleach solution before first using them.

Got one off Amazon last year. Coils up like the old phone cords used to. It wiil stretch out and still keep its shape. Comes in a wide range of colors, steel connectors, well made.

Water Rite is the brand.
