I think cutting the hose is a good idea and much cheaper than two 15's and sanitizing is a great idea.
As for me I have a 25 foot flat white hose and it coils up about 1.125 inches thick and 14" in diameter. These hoses were popular back when our Bounder was born. Ours was in the bay when the Bounder left the dealer. I have a second hose, a Camco but it hasn't been used yet. I'll use it for the drain when I sanitize this spring, that should take all the taste out(if there is any).
