Scary yes. but dangerous? I have lived with gas appliances most of my life and with proper care they are safe.. in fact safer than electric.
NEVER have I had or heard of a mouse chewing through a gas line and causing a fire.. But I long since lost count of the number of ELECTRICAL fires that started that way.
