That is a Norcold cooling unit, FWIW. Norcolds have thermal and pressure fuses on the cooling unit- a small curved dead end piece of pipe at the top of the absorber coils.
Having said that- it could have been a Servel by Dometic- Dometic built Norcolds cooling units for them for a while, and in turn, rebranded some under the Servel name.
I also doubt the refrigerator was the direct cause, other than a propane problem with it.
On edit- after going back and reading, I believe the refrigerator was a Norcold 462, due to the statement about waiting for the green light to come on. Note that this model is under
recall for a gas valve problem, though most have been done by now.
From the recall website:

Due to a potential safety defect, Norcold has recalled the following smaller gas/electric refrigerator models, built from January, 1987 through May 1995, listed below.
If the serial number for your refrigerator model is within the specified range as listed below, the refrigerator’s gas valve needs to be remedied immediately. Refrigerator model and serial numbers can be viewed by looking on the inside right of your refrigerator cabinet.
Continued propane gas mode operation of a refrigerator under this recall could result in a fire causing injury or death.
