Don't turn mine off...it is nearly 30 ft from the fuel pump anyways...people are smoking closer to the pump than my fridge is located. Heck, most of the time I don't even turn the truck off (diesel). Coming off the hwy, I don't like to shut the truck down immediately due to turbo temps, I can swing through a truckstop and pump 40-100 gallons of diesel by the time my turbo temps are cooled to 300 degrees (I have 140 gallons of fuel on board, so we rarely stop). The three years we lived in Italy, I think it was a requirement to have a lit cigarette hanging out of your mouth when fueling gas...and there were no vapor seals on their nozzles...yet no one has gone up in smoke there. I think the vapor ppm is relatively low, even though our noses smell it...
