I have. The freezer is just fine but the fridge rather rapidly gets above the safe temperature for food storage.
I have and it's ugly for "my" fridge. I usually travel in July for vacation and if I pull my fridge down to 38 in the morning by 3 or 4 in the afternoon it's around 60 to 65 if I leave the fridge off. This is with not even opening it.
All of you people do what you want but I'm not into food poisoning.
The odds of catching fire in a gas station from fumes? None. The odds of getting food poisoning in the US? About one in 6 or about 48 million people / year.
