It's worth noting that some old RV fridges (and water heaters) did not require any electricity to operate.
Yours are probably not ones of them. It is still possible to get water heaters with pilot ignition (that don't need electricity), but I'm not aware of any new RV fridges that are entirely non-electric—though that may just be my ignorance. There certainly are new absorption fridges available that are not intended for RV use that are fully non-electric, both gas and kerosene fired.
A small generator is less expensive than replacing one's appliances, so it's kind of a moot point.
