I mentioned in another thread about keeping a loop of some jerk not seeing my rig as he entered the hwy in front of me and his reaction when he heard my WOLO BadBoy horn. If I had hit him, I think it would have helped to prove him in the wrong and the Supreme Court is going to decide if the police can confiscate your phone or other computer devise with out a warrant. I'm confident that the court will agree it requires a search warrant.
While the Calif. MVC states the location that can be used to mount a GPS or cellphone on a windshield, a CHP officer said behind the mirror or in the case of a class a he would never suggest that you should keep them anywhere other than the top center of your windshield. Or as I do, put it on a dash mount because they are allowed anywhere on the dash. I will agree with all you CA bashers, the laws on this are weird and stupid.
