Frosted glass light covers

Question

We have these 4" or so frosted glass light covers that screw into the base to cover the halogen bulbs.  Every time we travel they tend to vibrate out and fall to the floor.  I am thinking of putting some silicon on them to keep them in place but still be able to remove them.  Will silicone work or should I look for something else?

I wouldn't put silicone on them, try to wrap some Teflon tape around the threads to take up a little space and help cushion the vibration. Silicone will stick and not come loose when you need to remove the globes.
