We're at West Yellowstone, woke up with our outside hose frozen, not sure yet about the TT pipes. Unhooked hose, but worried about the pipes. Our outside thermometer says it's 33 but weather app says 25! Guess its time for new thermometer.Anyway I need some advice. How will we know if there is a broken pipe? Should we do anything else? We have cabinet doors open and propane heat running now. Never faced this before.

Think you should be fine if you had the ehat on in the RV it should have kept the pipes warm enough on the TT. I had the same thing happen years ago with my Old Hybrid and no problems what so ever at that temp for the evening with the heat on in the TT.

Beyond the obvious of looking for wet spots, you might notice a loss of water pressure or that your water pump runs more often than normal. It may cycle a few seconds at a time when no one's using the water, for example.Are any of your lines exposed to the environment, like underneath the rig? That would be the most likely place to look for damage.

Only exposed pipes are the drains, otherwise covered under TT.

I have had that happen multiple times. Its always the source that freezes. Nothing inside has ever froze even though its gotten down in the upper teens before. You should be fine

Thanks for the prompt replies and reassurance. We flatlanders are feeling a bit discouraged. I knew it would be cold but goodness, it's June already. In the 90's at home.

I always disconnect the water hose if there's a chance of freezing.

Good time to run off the water tank, or do like we in the NW do for winter camping, get pipe insulation and heat tape for the FW hose.

Just two weeks a go in Bend, OR we had over night temps in the mid to high 20's. I was on the tank, didn't miss a beat.

We just got careless, but will do that from now on. The temps the night before didn't get as cold as predicted. We just connected a new hose and water inside is running fine so I doubt the pipes froze. Lesson learned! Thanks again to all of you for the help and advice.

I have a "winter" hose for that. It is a regular hose wrapped with heat tape that is wrapped with pipe insulation that is wrapped with a foil tape. Maybe I should call that my Michigan Hose! :B
