I remember that several years ago when gas stations only took their own cards (Exxon in my experience)they began making a distinction between cash/credit price per gallon. Then Gulf started advertising that cash/credit was the same price. So everyone went with cash/credit same price. Then they all did away with their own cards and starting MC/Visa transactions. For a few years they maintained the cash/credit same price system. Then the banks got frisky with the interchange fees and now we are back to the days of cash/credit price differentials. Seems as what was old is now new...:-)
