Yes as a merchant myself credit card charges makes a BIG difference and puts a big dent on my profit margin......BUT if you all knew the profit margin in gas and what these boys are making you'd be ticked off too. :B
I on the other hand like the cash discount. I Do not worry about carrying cash. I can and will protect my self and my cash.
Besides everyone should have access to cash in the event of an emergency or disaster. You will have a way to barter as your credit cards will be useless for a period of time and that will be a huge inconvenience. Many people these days rely on their cards way to much and it will cause you grief under the right circumstances. Cash will never leave you without a choice.
