While I agree that it *should* be warranty, my dealer doesn't do service calls, and I'm in a seasonal spot for the year and don't really want to move it.
If I want it fixed on warranty, I have to haul it in. It's less work to come up with a solution myself.
Plus, I'm learning more about how these things are put together by doing it myself, which is always a good thing. Next time an issue crops up, I won't be afraid to start troubleshooting what might be wrong.
