Well, I built a new access panel and installed it. Furnace is still cycling. It takes longer between cycles now, but it still does it. Guess it's gotta go in to the dealer for a proper fix.
I had high hopes for this fix, but it didn't turn out. I'm not sure if maybe it's not got enough cold air return now, so I might try cutting additional vents in, but I feel like all I'm doing now is wasting my time.
